yeah so about a month or 2 ago i started noticing more and more dropped calls, reported it to sprint and they said theyd have them "check the tower" after trying to pull off all the PRL updates and such. now im having 15-20 dropped calls a day on this phone and im sooo ****in sick of it. it doesnt happen on any other of our phones, why just my 8200? if i bring it to the sprint store will they do anything about it?

If it's under warranty, they will replace it. If it isn't then... you're out of luck. This isn't a common 8200 problem so you sure can't use that for leverage. :p Time for a new phone perhaps? :)

Haven't had that problem yet with mine, i've had it for over 2 years. If still under warrranty get it replaced, if not i'd look into a diff. phone :D

i used to have a blue 8200... and i never experienced this... you might want to check it out with the techs at the sprint store... if you got ESRP... you are still covered :)

Try taking it to the Sprint store and having them update the phone's software. That should help some.

wellll since last week i brought it to the store and they gave me a PRL update and she said if it didnt do anything to come back and theyd run a test on it. sure enough the dumb PRL update didnt work (no suprise?) and i brought it back and talked to another guy and he went ahead and did the test and came back and said that they would replace the phone but he had to order it because they didnt have any 8200s in stock...why couldent he just give me an 8300? but i agreed so their gonna call me when it gets in

My 8200 has the same problem recently. I have had my phone for 18+ months. And yesterday it droped the same call 10+ times. It was so bad, that I finaly joked with my friend who has Verizon that she must be on one of those plans with the first incoming message free. It was very frustrating. I am just waiting for Spring to come out with the 700W and then this phone is gone.

Go 7500. You are already used to Sanyo. The only thing the A920 has over the 7500 (IMO) is the external card slot.

Plus, the A920 probably won't work half the time anyway. :p Just Kidding. (Or am I?)

Definitely sounds like your location. I had similar problems with my 8100 and 8200 when I had them. After a few updates and one replacement, it seemed to of helped quite a bit, but did not completely make the problem dissappear. You can still get ESRP, but you will need to take it to the store for them to inspect it.
