OK.... I am not much on reviews but I wanted to put this out there so that anyone who comes here to this website and does a search specificly for the Jabra JX10, hopefully this post will come up....
First I would like to say that I too did a search on here for this BT headset.... and even though I had to weed through page after page of information that did not have anything to do with this model... I was at least able to read some reviews.
OK... Yes, I have the infamous(sp?) Samsung a900. I have put off til today to actually get a BT headset because of all the BAD reviews I did read. However, I was just hired on as a Del. Driver for a major delivery service, so now was the time to have one since I will be driving 8+ hours a day.
So anyway..... I went to BestBuy and picked this up for $179..... OUCH, I know right... but if you look at it this way, I bought the thing with the thought in my head it would suck. So why mess with someone off of Ebay and then have to mess around with trying to return it...... :tu:
So, I have charged it up and have been using it for the past few hours now. In my opinion it is working more then I had expected it to. The only other BT headset I had tried previously was the Jabra BT-150 which was GARBAGE.... that sucker went back to Bestbuy right after it was charged.
So, I do not have anything to compare the JX10 to, nor have I tried the voice command yet... but I am very happy with the purchase.
Static is VERY minimal. When I was walking around the house I would hear littlebits and peices of static here and there but nothing that would cause me to turn it off. It seems the static was more so when the phone was in my pocket. However, the instruction CLEARLY state that the best position for your phone is in line or sight with the BT headset, ie on your hip.
The JX10 is very comfortable. I may some day try the ear gel trick or the Radio Shack trick, but IMO the thing is pretty solid on my ear right out of the box. Nothing like the BT-150 that would fall off when I tried to sit up or down real fast. So, again the BT is outstanding when it comes to feel and size.
I have called a couple people to ask them how I sounded on the other end, and everyone said my voice was crystal clear, except for the little pockets of static you would hear every now and again.
All in all, I will say I think if you have the money, the JX10 is the way to go when it comes to the A900. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I bought a $200 headset and a $200 headset I received. True there is SOME static, but if you ask me when you are dealing with something so small and so technically advanced you are going to get some static.
Anyway... Hope that helps someone down the road...
