Sanyo VM4500 screen flicker and bad LEDs???

MY GF has a blue sanyo vm4500 and after about 5 months of usage...the battery is saying full..but dies in like 10 minutes..So im guess to get her a new battery...

but just yesterday..her inside screen started flickering..even when I select the screen to stay on constant or even when I select to turn the screen off completely?

also..her outside color LED..she set it on rainbow and it only blinks orange then white..back and forth...no other colors will work?

what gives....but the phone still makes calls and functions fine besides the flickering screen and poor color LEDS?????

EDIT: shes has an aftermarket faceplate so warranty is gone

she said it just started happening outta nowhere...

the first question I asked her was did it get wet..and she said no..its been in her purse all the time..so what gives?

shes not too much concerned with the LEDS not changing color but the flickering screen is annoying her...but besides that..phone works awesome...

Maybe a cable in the flip mechanism is loose causing the electric current to come and go?

thats what I was guessin....but what kinda defeats it..is when I select the phone to completely shut off the screen...it still flickers bright, low, bright, low....instead of just staying low light without the backlight.


im probably just gonna take it apart and do a lil cleaning and make sure the connections are fine...

PS: outta nowhere..the exterior LEDs are giving the different colors again..but internal screen still flickers..but not as bad as before...
