View Full Version : 2GB MiniSD for Sanyo 9000

Does anyone know if the new Ultra II 2GB MiniSD Cards will work with the Sanyo 9000?

According to Sanyo's website the phone only goes up to 1GB, but then again the Samsung A920 was supposed to only go up to 512MB but someone on here got a 1GB to work just fine.

Anyways, any knowledge on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

yep, sure does...there are plenty of threads here in the Sanyo discussion that cover this topic, and I can name 3-4 different users that have 1...

My 2 GB has 1.4 Gb of music on it and is great. I did not see the need for the speedy card??

don't waste your time with the uber-overpriced SanDIsk memory cards. Transcend, A-DATA, Ritek, usually beat them BADLY on price.

Transcend: 66 bucks shipped (price went up from a week ago by like five bucks, cause we ordered one) but still, 80x, 2GB. :)

My 2GB can hold like 540 songs on it. It kicks major A**. Why even buy a 2GB IPOD Nano when one can get the best phone in the world (The 9K) and 2 GB card.

because listening to music on a device designed specifically for that is infinitely superior to listening to music on a telephone.

Infinitely superior? I beg to differ. Superior, yeah, but not infinitely so. The only thing I would like to see is some sort of playlist maker and longer battery life. Otherwise, I cannot see paying $200+ for the ipod when I have already spent $250 on this phone. If the 2GB ipod nano was $75, then maybe I'd buy it. But it is definitely not so much better as to justify the additional expense and carrying a second device.

IPOD's r so expensive and the only benefit to owning a IPOD is that you can scroll through all music on the player without having to switch songs. Plus having an MP3 player phone means much less junk that one has to carry around in their pocket. These r my opinions so do not take what I think seriously.

You can scroll through music without having to switch songs on the 9000.

I just got my 2G card today and loaded up with a 100 songs. Didn't even put a dent in the memory.

I was talking about i different folders like the 535 could. I could be listing to a song in one folder and exit out of that folder while the song is still plaing and select a different folder and select a different song while the song is still playing. I have a mixed music folder and it is annoying trying to scroll through that folder to find a certain song, that is why i have sub folders. I have like 200 songs in one folder and then i have my music cd's in different sub folders to access them quickly.

I just wanted to double check but the 5600 can only handle a 1GB card, right?
I would love to have a 2GB card.

heh, I've gotten over 800 songs on my 1gb card before....it's all about the compression. btw, music sounds way better on the 9K @ 32kbps than the 56

I put my old 1G card in wife's 5600 and I have the 2G.

What format do movies have to be in? When I had my PPC 6700 I had a buddy give me American Wedding and The Longest Yard (still haven't seen it). I put them on my 9000 but I can't find them.

I know that's why I bought it. Have a 103 songs on it now and only 22% of the card is used. These are 192kps songs to boot.
