Hello,
I have heard that the MM-9000 does not have analog roaming (sucks)...but I was wondering if it still had digital roaming. With the new fair and flexible sprint plan that I'm about to get, I get free roaming and so since sprint is a worthless carrier with horrible reception (well at least with my 8200), I would like the ability to use my free roaming when getting low reception. With my 8200, in the settings - roaming section...there is three choices: Sprint, Automatic, and Analog. What does it say in the 9000? Thanks

from what i've seen, sprint has worst reception with t-mobile following closely behind while cingular and verizon being the best but a bit more expensive. again this is only my experience in georgia and florida. as for selling it for $50...im just about to receieve it, why would i sell it? and for that cheap! im quite disappointed that i won't be able to take advantage of the free roaming though. so what the hell do you do if you're on a mountain where only verizon gets signal??? has yours ever digitally roamed...

omfg... ok your a trip... ok i had t-mobile for 5 freaken years and i have customers come in to my store... mind you im in a populated area next to harrisburg, pa and hear customers complain about cingular and all the time its nextel. t-mobile has got to be one of the worst services out there. my mom and sister still have t-mobile and most of the time its hard to hear her. i tell customers all the time, if you like t-mobile then fine. yes they give you more minutes for a cheaper price, but explain to me how do you get to use those minutes IF THEY FREAKEN DROP. i tell them 1 bar and i garrante them the same call quality of their full signal of t-mobile. sprints coverage of course is spotty, but its designed for populated area, not for hillbilly towns (metaphor). so if your in the mountains then you wont get signal, and thats ok. thats why they offer for 5 bucks, you can do voice roaming and data roaming. i rarely use it, if any. i used it once because they were upgrading a tower and wanted to go off verizon for the day. cingular is garbage to me and i hate selling it. but i will admit verizon is good, but thier plans are expensive and the customer service when radioshack had them was horendus.so before you wireless bash, go try another service, but i know you will come back eventually. and be proud you have a 9000, its one of the best phones there is and be glad you dont go roaming alot. that means sanyo is working its job. lol now i got that off my chest for the day.
AND THATS WHY IM KNOWN AS THE WIRELESS SALES NAZI AT RADIOSHACK. lol :devangel: :kingofhil

much thanks for the help everyone! As for Jonathan's lil rant...I did not wireless bash. I specifically said "FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN" and also "AGAIN THIS IS ONLY MY EXPERIENCE IN FLORIDA AND GEORGIA." I know that in Tennessee on the UT campus, Sprint dominates over Cingular. But I live in Atlanta, Georgia (which is yes, quite populated). I have lived in the dorms for 2 years now and out of every carrier, Sprint is the only one that gets 0 bars and is always roaming or searching for service. Even T-Mobile gets a slight signal.
Concluding statement: Yes, maybe Sprint is amazing all over the nation, but in Georgia Tech dorms (which is all I care about) and the occasional mountain for skiiing....sprint doesnt help much.

Which is why, although I was actually being facetious (should used a smilie I guess), I suggested that you sell me your 9000 and switch to another carrier.
