Sanyo 4930 Text Messaging "Add Recipient" not working???

I just had my phone activated and all my contacts switched over from my old sanyo phone to the new phone. I tried to send a text message to some friends to tell them that I can see my screen again and to feel free to text message me. So here is the problem.

Go to Messaging:
>Select Send Message
>Select Text
> Phone Book Entry
> Scroll down to XXX name and press OK
Little check mark shows up and I press DONE

This takes me back to a screen that says RECIPIENTS . MAX 10 <ADD ENTRY>

It shows no entrys. If i press NEXT it says you must add recipients. If i press OK it takes me back to the add recipients screen with NO check marks.

So, HOW do I add a recipient with this phone, or is this a known bug/issue? If you go exactly as the instructions say, it says PRESS MENU OK > PRESS DONE > PRESS NEXT > Select MESSAGE > COMPOSE.

was this problem ever resolved?...im gonna go ahead and say that you had all your numbers transfered to that phone, you have to go through your contact list and select edit and save for each one. i had this same problem only for a hot sounding tech chick to tell me after 2 hours on the ohone with CS that that is what i had to do

exactly... transfered all the numbers in, and then nothign worked. Lucky you with the phone rep.
