View Full Version : Sanyo 9000 Sub LCD Greeting

I think I'm overlooking something. Well I got this 9000 yesterday and I tried to set it like I had my 5600, where my Sub LCD display was the default display and it had the greeting displayed. While the Main LCD display had a picture or something on it. When I do this ; however, the sub LCD doesn't display the greeting. When I change the Main LCD to default the greeting goes back on the Sub LCD. Any idea of what I may be overlooking in my effort to get the greeting on the Sub LCD?

It works for me... just remember, if you display a screensaver, it won't show the greeting.

as far as I can tell, if you have a greeting on your Main LCD you should have one on your Sub LCD. If Main LCD clock setting (others under standby display) is set to default then you get nothing but if you put a clock or calendar the greeting shows on both.

you need to check this setting...
settings>display>standbydisplay>sub lcd>others

Yeah I was trying to get the greeting to show while there is something different on the Main LCD. Is it possible on the 9000? I tried that setting again and it still didn't work.

you mean have the greeting on the main lcd different than the sub lcd? you cannot do that.
you can have two different pics, but not different greetings.

No I want the standby default on the sub LCD screen, so it would have the greeting appearing. Then I want a picture on the Main LCD screen.

I think I'm gonna try to email Sanyo and ask them will they do a firmware update. lol. I really hate that my Main LCD greeting has to be on to have the Sub LCD greeting on.

No you can do that.

Oh and if your really thinking about emailing Sanyo about a firmware update then search for the thread "Firmware update that could make the 9000 perfect". There is a list of items in there.
