Is there any way to get one through Sprint? Refurb maybe... or would i need to get one through eBay?
If we get a phone through a retention deal, is there anything preventing us from swapping out whatever phone we order with a 9000 we acquire either here or from eBay or something and would we have to pay a penalty or something on the other phone?

Ebay would be an option. You could also try some retail stores like Fry's or Radio Shack. There isn't anything preventing you from swapping out whatever phone you want. No fees or anything.

Hey....has anyone else been charged an UPGRADE fee of $36? I was told that starting November 2005, whenever you do a phone switch, you will need to pay activation fees of $36 AND a $36 UPGRADE FEE!!! I recently had to do a warrenty swap of my Sanyo 5600 and they tacked on a $36 fee!! WHAT A RIP!! anyone else had this BS problem? Sprint is sure trying to squeeze every cent out of their customers.
ON A SIDE NOTE....if anyone interested on a NEW SANYO 9000....email me.
thanks

What does she want a 5600?
no (and quite frankly the 9000 is not a 5600. IT HAS EV-DO! and more built-in memory, and looks better :p
she wants something with high contrast menu options (not the high-contrast option is hideous and atually lower contrast than the other two on the MM-9000) and pretty readable text. Sanyo just has a pretty good OS for her in that regard.

Ok just asking I have both phones ;) and know all the differences. Lots of people compare them though. :tu:
