Anyone know what exactly it updates? What if fixes, changes, etc?
Ok, just noticed there is a new option under roaming "Data Roam Guard" and the phone book looks different if you choose thumbnail view.

what does this update include? if it limits streaming to 10 minutes, is it more of a negative to update? I dont want to update my phone if I am losing out.

I believe it's like updating your vision profile; that is you won't get charged even if you don't have a vision package.

Much better than paying the $35 sprint wants to charge us for the stores to do it.

Once again another inconsistentcy in Sprint's FOTA system. Are they ever going to get it right so that it works for all phones that need it, all of the time?

I have talking to a roaming supervisor where I live, sent to two stores, and finally a service store. No one is 100% sure, but if u update to 1.022SP from 1.017SP (I think this is what most 7500s come w/), Sprint could NOT be able to transfer phone#'s to the phone from another phone.
I called Futuredial who makes sync software and the tech at the svc store, apparently there's an issue w/ current FD sync software and 1.022SP. NoOne has been able to point me out to what issue is, but FD has raised a ticket to have their software certified w/ the 7500's 1.022SP firmware.

FYI, I've been working with the BitPim folks helping them to update the code to support the MM-7500. Currently the phonebook can be uploaded and downloaded. Working through some minor issues with other capabilities before support is really claimed.
The test MM-7500 is running 1.022SP.

Hmmm, the first night we got it (jun 24/25), we tried the update option on the 7500 and it upgraded to 1.022SP. Upon browsing the net for the 1st time, 7500 prompted me to update my browser.
