Okay guys on my old 8300 I could hit the RL button on the side and it would work as a snooze, and play back in a few minutes. I had to physically open the phone and hit dismiss until it would stop, I loved this. Now on my 5600 if i hit any buttons it turns completely off and i usually fall back asleep unknowingly... Can i set it up to work as a snooze like my old 8300? I know i know RTFM but i'm at work (late) because of this and was just wondering if anyone had a quick answer.
Thanks in advance,
Jason

I dont think so...my 9000 acts as you described your 8300 but I'm fairly sure to snooze on the 5600 you would have to open the phone and hit snooze...

Does the 5600 turn on even if the unit is off, when the alarm is set?! I know the 8300 does, and I think this is an amazing feature! Of course, Samsungs have a workaround, I guess...

Sure does. I have yet to take advantage of this feature because my phone is usually always on. I guess I'll just have to crack open the manual, or spring for the 9000 if i can find one :)

Is it that important to you to get a 9000? I'm not questioning what matters to you, because I kow what silly things drive me nuts, but is it really worth it to you? I guess for me, it wouldn't be, as I use another alarm clock, mostly.

the only difference with the 5600 is that you have to open the phone and I think the left softkey is snoooze, it still works, but just not with the RL button like 83/9K phones do

This is a big thing for me. When I hear the alarm I usually just grab for the phone and it shuts it off, and I end up rolling over going back to sleep. This is not good.
-also i like the 9000 because of evdo and the better flash, low light pics turn out like crap on the 5600...

I can see how that would suck, I used to sleep through my 7400 all the time which works the same as the 56
-u should get a 9K then, form factors aside it's a great upgrade from the 5600

Yeah join the Elite 9000 members. The snooze on mine has saved my a*# a couple times! I love my phone.

Well sounds like you have a few reasons to get the 9k, so I say go for it! :)
