Today Sprint has officially reported its firs quarter 2011 earnings. The yellow company has added 1.1 million subscribers, however, they lost money. Admittedly, Sprint’s net loss in the first quarter of 2011 was a vast improvement over the first quarter of 2010 when it posted a loss of $865 million. This time only lost US$ 439 millions.
“We’ve added two million wireless subscribers over the past two quarters,” said company CEO, Dan Hesse. “In spite of Verizon’s iPhone launch and aggressive competitive responses to it, our simple and unlimited plans, 4G leadership, strong customer service, and successful multi-brand strategy drove solid Sprint performance for the quarter.”

Otterbox is known for some of the best protection available for all types of electronics. Their Defender series in particular is known for providing a dual solution for both cushioning drops/bumps and usually some type of carry solution for smartphones like a belt clip.
Since tablets are trending to replace netbooks and for many even their laptops I thought it would be valuable to do a review of the Otterbox Defender Series for iPad. Otterbox does offer several other models such as the Commuter and Reflex series. The Commuter is both lighter and less expensive than the Defender series but doesn’t offer a carry solution and is slightly smaller. Since I am prone to dropping things (some might even say I am a klutz) I knew the Defender series was definitely the right choice for me.
