I was talking with an HTC rep the other day and she introduced me to this application, and I think it is probably the best and most interesting application I have seen so far. It is called Layars and what it does is show you where just about everything around you is. Kind of like a Google search, but I actually like this better. Basically, the application opens up and it is a background with a grid on it. You set the preference for what you want it to look for, such as restaurants or entertainment, etc… Then, just point your camera in the direction you want the GPS to search and it will pull up everything in the category you searched for on the grid. More after the break.
That’s right, the rumored Samsung Galaxy S Pro is no longer a rumor. Pictures of the device were leaked into the net today. There are no specs exactly as of yet, but most likely this will be Sprint’s second 4G phone and will be sporting a 1Ghz processor. As more information comes available we will be sure to let you know.

This was submitted to us from The Blogger over at ExplaintheFee.com:
A Sprint customer recently created a website called Explain the Fee that is dedicated to seeking specific answers from Sprint regarding a new fee that they have implemented today, June 4, 2010, levied solely on owners of their latest phone, the HTC EVO 4G.
Sprint sells the HTC EVO 4G phone unsubsidized for $450 but also requires the owner to purchase a mandatory $10 month add-on called “Premium Data.” The blogger has contacted Sprint several times over the last week, including emailing their CEO’s mailbox (Dan@Sprint.com), reached out to John Taylor (spokesman for Sprint Nextel on Public Policy), and most recently Sprint’s Communication Manager of Marketing Public Relations, Emmy Anderson contacted the website.
The blogger is simply seeking an answer to what should be a simple question: “Can you explain the fee?“
Our friends at Seidio are offering up 5 HTC EVO cases and holsters to Sprintusers.com members who post in the latest contest thread. There is absolutely no purchase necessary on your part – so what are you waiting for? The full details are found in the contest thread.
That’s right, the Motorola i1 is almost here! So for all Nextel customers out there who have been waiting for something a little better than say the i680, your wait is about to come to an end. The phone will release on June 20th for direct ship only. However, there is still no word on when we will see this phone in the store. Read more about it by clicking the phone and reading below.
