That’s right, as many of you already know, Sprint and the NFL have ended their commitment to each other. As of April 1st, the application for NFL Mobile Live will be terminated. Fear not though all you football fans, Sprint has an answer for you. At long last, Sprint’s first 4G Phone, the EVO 4G is officially announced.

At long last Sprint and HTC has announced the long rumored “Supersonic” to be called the EVO 4G.   This is probably one of those most anticipated phones that Sprint has ever offered and is going to be the first phone that supports WiMax 4G.

Some of the nice specs include:

480x 800 4.3 inch TFT LCD

Snapdragon QSD8650 1 GHz processor

1 GB built in memory, 512MB RAM.

8mp Camera with flash that’s capable of 720p video, including a 1.3mp front facing camera.

HDMI out

802.11b/g WIFIt

8gb microSD card.

Android 2.1

Kickstand

Mobile Hotspot

Customers will be able to purchase HTC EVO 4G through all Sprint channels and through national retail partners, RadioShack, Best Buy and Walmart, this summer. Pricing will be announced at a later date. Pre-registration begins today at www.sprint.com/evo.

Sprint announces more cities to receive 4G this year.

This morning Sprint has announced more cities to receive WiMax 4G this year.

The cities included in the announcement are:

Cincinnati

Cleveland

Los Angeles

Miami

Pittsburgh

Salt Lake City

St. Louis

These cities will join Boston, Denver, Kansas City, Houston, Minneapolis, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.  which Sprint previously announced would receive WiMax before the end of the year.

It looks like Sprint is on track bring WiMax (4G) coverage to 120 million people by the end of the year.

CTIA starts today!

Big news coming tomorrow from Sprint

Quite a few people have noticed when they logged into their accounts this morning that there is a nice little banner that says,
“Sprint Premier Customers: Visit us tomorrow for an exciting announcement about a groundbreaking new device”

Could this be the new HTC Supersonic 4G device that’s been rumored to make an appearance this week at CTIA?

We will have full coverage of CTIA this week including Dan Hesse’s keynote speech tomorrow at 9am PDT (Noon, EDT)

Correction:  Dan Hesse’s keynote speech is going to be on Wednesday, March 24 at 9am PDT, Noon EDT.

SU Podcast Episode 4 delayed this week

HTC Touch Pro 2 Gets Update To WM 6.5!!

Thats correct you heard right. As of tomorrow 3/19/2010 Sprint will release the long awaited update to the Touch Pro 2. The software update is version 2.04.651.4.
